From: M Taylor [taylorml@ix.netcom.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 26, 2001 7:04 PM Subject: FW: Buytrain news: computer virus The recent computer virus warnings are terrifying. People scramble to update long forgotten anti-virus tools and locate notes on how to avoid potential problems. Seems like I always get a call from someone who had been meaning to subscribe to an anti-virus software, but had been putting it off. tsk, tsk, tsk ... Once you are infected, it's too late! Subscribe now! and keep it current. It's only going to get worse if you don't. When I first hear about a new HOT virus, I rush to download the latest information about the virus from the Anti-virus web sites. I suggest you avoid the crowd trying to download the updated virus definitions, chances are they will be a few days getting it posted anyhow. Instead arm yourself with some information, so that if you are cut off from the web, you still have a reference. It's kind of technical, but if you do suspect a problem often you can find out how to tell for sure.
