Do you require subcontractors to show evidence of insurance before beginning work? If so, you have probably seen an insurance ACORD form. But where do they come form and what the heck does ACORD mean? I found several web sites that will give you the true story.

Word and Excel documents can include hidden text and information that should be removed before distributing electronically to contractors and customers.
[Changing the document to PDF resolves this problem....but sometimes we can't convert to PDF]
Microsoft has published a tool to help remove hidden data from Office documents. After you install it, a menu item appears on the Word File menu that walks you through the removal process. I highly recommend you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING IT.

PRINTING YOUR OWN MEMBERSHIP CARD IS NOW A REALITY
ISM members and affiliates now have the option of printing their own membership card (new and replacements) whenever needed. In the Members Only section [of the ISM web site, www.ism.ws] , click on Print Membership Card. Your membership information will be merged onto the card and you are ready to print.
Expanding Existing Relationships and Building New Ones
We will be expanding our current relationship with business and supply
management media representatives in order to better understand their needs
and the many ways we can work together to increase awareness of supply
management's important role
One of our initial goals is to develop and train a team of volunteers from
the ISM membership to serve as a Spokesperson Team, available to speak on
any supply management issue upon request and even proactively seek
opportunities to be more visible to the media and others.
2004 SUMMER LEADERSHIP TRAINING WORKSHOPS
The 2004 Summer Leadership Training Workshops will be held in Las Vegas,
Nevada; Washington, DC; and New Orleans, Louisiana. The early bird registration fee is $150. Registrations submitted following the early bird deadline will be $165.
